For video gamers this product is easy-to-use-instead of drop-down menus, simply drag the mouse over different objects or signs in the cartoon to choose other subjects and classroom doors replace buttons.

Inside the SAT & ACT has many of the features we looked for in preparation software including extra tests, diagnostic exams and full-length tests. This program also includes practice drills that can be loaded onto a PDA so you can walk around and study at the same time.

Downloading Inside the SAT & ACT is quick and simple. There are only two discs, one for SAT and one for ACT. After a short installation time, just input a user name, and you're ready to go.

Inside the SAT & ACT offers useful help in the form of tutorials and technical support by phone or email.

Content Rating:  

Inside the SAT & ACT tutors all of the subjects for entrance exam preparation. The math section includes arithmetic, geometry, algebra and quantitative comparisons. Princeton Review covers English as well, but we found the vocabulary section to fall short when compared to other software reviewed.

Effectiveness:  

Despite the cartoon school atmosphere, Inside the SAT & ACT is serious and effective with helping you increase your knowledge and study skills. Unfortunately, the delivery method of this knowledge lacks variety, so it may not cater to the way some people learn.

If you thrive on no-nonsense learning delivered through animation, this is the program for you. However, if you like to play games or desire other ways to break up your study routine, Inside the SAT & ACT will not give you what you want.
